Dennis L. Dowse

LANCASTER, NH - Dennis L. Dowse, 58, passed away Thursday evening February 3, 2011, at his home.
Mr. Dowse was born in Lancaster, NH on September 25, 1952, a son of Howard A. and Marion P. (Daley) Dowse.
Dennis was raised in Stratford and was a graduate of Stratford High School. After high school he worked for Ethan Allan Furniture in Beecher Falls, VT, then he was employed by, Groveton Paper Company for 32 years as a machine operator. After the mill closed he worked for a time at PJ Noyes and Burndy's in Lincoln.
He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing and walking his dog Kirby. Without being asked he was always there for family, friends and neighbors.
Family members include his wife Arlene (Pelletier) Dowse, two sons, Nathaniel Dowse and his wife Spring of Vancouver, WA and Ryan Dowse of Lancaster, one grandchild Kennedy Ryan Dowse, two brothers Peter Dowse of Lancaster and Terry Dowse of Stratford and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Monday February 7, from 4-6 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM, Father Raymond Ball, pastor at All Saints Church, will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in the Summer Street Cemetery on May 7

In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in his memory to the Northwoods Home Health and Hospice, 278 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
