GROVETON - Dennis Jon Field, devoted Husband, Father, and naturalist embarked upon his final adventure October 1, 2018. Dennis was born Feb 18, 1958, and spent his youth exploring the woods of the Connecticut River Valley. It was here where he fell in love with the natural world and began honing his skills as both a hunter and woodsman. He attended high school at the Dublin School, though his most important lessons occurred on or around Mount Monadnock, and the banks of the Connecticut River. Dennis wore many hats during his career, always with unmatched technical prowess and knowledge. After having his Son Douglas and falling in love with his Soulmate Christine, Dennis moved from Milford to the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. He spent countless hours in his new playground collecting minerals, camping, and enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family. Every day was opening a pocket, finding an antler, tracking a moose, or test panning a new stream. Dennis was also the former President and an active member of the Presidential Gem and Mineral Society, a group of rock-hounds, geologists, and people he truly loved. Dennis was a great friend, fantastic husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by the many friends and family that had the opportunity to know him. We love you Dennis, and we'll see you in the woods.
Born Feb 18, 1958 to the late Paul and Joyce (Derby) Field. Dennis is predeceased by his brothers Dan and Don Field. He is survived by his Brother Dave Field, Sisters Cheryl Field and Joanne (Field) Reed, Wife Christine (Cullinan) Field, and Son Douglas Field, Stepsons Brad and Adam Zahn, Grandchildren Riley and Khaidyn Field and Liam and Aiden Zahn, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Services will be held privately at a later date.
