WHITEFIELD - Dennis S. Nickerson, 33, of Highland Street, died suddenly at his home Saturday morning September 12, 2015, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Nickerson was born in Boston, MA on February 26, 1982 the son of Scott Donovan and Christine (Nickerson) Mitchell.
Dennis was raised in Cape Ann, MA. He acquired his GED with honors and later attended North Shore Regional Vocational School in Middleton, MA. There he acquired a degree in Culinary Arts. For a time he was chef in the Boston area working in everything from high end restaurants to pizza parlors. He was instrumental in creating a recipe for a potato pizza that received accreditation from the Phantom Gourmet. In 2006 he moved to Whitefield and cooked at Applebee's and the 99 Restaurants in Littleton.
Dennis was a fan of Dr. Who and Star Trek and loved playing video games. He also loved his dog Tiberius. He will be remembered for his loyalty to his family and friends who meant so much to him.
Surviving family members include his long time companion and significant other Danielle Scuturio of Whitefield; his mother Christine Mitchell of Whitefield; his father Scott Donovan of Saugus, MA; his brother Ryan Donovan of Eastport, ME; one nephew, one niece and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Dennis' life will be held Friday afternoon September 18
th
from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at the Forest Lake State Park in Dalton, NH. A time of remembrance will be held at 1:00 PM. Life Cycle Celebrant Wendy MacDonald will officiate. The Dennis Nickerson Memorial Swim will follow and a barbecue luncheon will be served.
