LANCASTER, NH – Reverend Donald B. Williams, 89, of Summer Street, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday evening, September 26, 2023, at Country Village Genesis Healthcare Center, Lancaster.
Rev. Williams was born in Kenyon, Rhode Island on March 2, 1934. He was the son of Lloyd and Clara (Bodo) Williams. He was raised in Rhode Island where he met his future wife, Phyllis Anderson. They were married on February 15, 1958, and in their loving and devoted marriage they raised four children in Rhode Island.
In 1973 Donald became a licensed minister and was ordained in 1975. He was Pastor of various churches in Rhode Island from 1975-1992. In 1992 they moved to New Hampshire where he became Pastor of the Mountain View Baptist Church, Lancaster, until his retirement in 2013.
Don was an avid gardener who loved tending his gardens everywhere he lived. He also enjoyed sports and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. He was a responsible citizen, always active in civic duties. He was well loved and well known by many.
Surviving family members include his wife Phyllis of Lancaster; three children, David W. Williams of Lancaster, Linda D. LeClaire of Wakefield, RI, Tracy M. Penantel of Wirtz, VA; a sister, Margie Williams of Rhode Island; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Kenny Don Williams of Lancaster; four siblings, Lloyd Williams of Kenyon, RI, Frank Williams of Westerly, RI, Charles Williams of Providence, RI, and Fred Williams of Chicago, IL
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
