WHITEFIELD - Donna L. Sleep, 68, formerly of Highland Street Apts., died Monday evening, December 24th, 2018, at the Lafayette Center, Franconia.
Donna was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on April 8, 1950, the daughter of Floyd Norman Flood and Evelyn Myra (Rodger) Bigelow. Her father died when she was a child and her mother married Robert P. Bigelow who she considered her Dad. Aside from a short time in Florida, Donna was raised in Dalton and was a graduate of White Mountain Regional High School. Besides several odd jobs over the years she was a proud homemaker. Her interests included crafts such as needle point and plastic canvas. Donna also enjoyed playing cribbage. She resided for a time on Blakslee Road in Dalton before moving to Whitefield.
Surviving family members include her two sons, Steven Sleep of Littleton, Michael Spreadbury of Concord, NH; her mother of Lancaster; 5 sisters, Rose Szakmary and husband Franz of Twin Mountain, Kathy Leach, Lillian Harriman and husband Dennis of Whitefield, Brenda Rosebrook and husband Patrick of Kentucky, Lois Flynn of Lancaster; and a brother Kenneth Flood and wife Helen of Virginia. Her father Robert also predeceased her.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the spring in Cushman Cemetery, Dalton.
