Doreen B. Towle

WHITEFIELD - Doreen B. Towle, 81, of Lancaster Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2016.  Her death occurred at Weeks Medical Center after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Towle was born and raised in Lancaster on May 30, 1934 the daughter of Cecil Perley and Henrietta Alda (Willard) Ball.  On August 30, 1949 she married Asa C. Towle and over the years they resided in Jefferson and Whitefield.

Doreen was a primarily a homemaker but worked for a time in the Littleton shoe shops and for Manchester Knitted Fashions.  Her interests included reading, old time country music and attending horse pulling events.  Spending time with family is what she loved most, especially taking care of her grandchildren.

Surviving family members include her four children, Clyde Towle of Whitefield, Darlene Towle of Berlin, Ben Towle of Whitefield, Curt Towle and wife Beth of Porter, Maine; a brother Donald Ball of Guildhall; grandchildren, Mandy Goettsch and husband Terry, Bobby Perry, Isaac Perry and wife Tara, Seth Towle, Zachary Towle, David Towle, Tyler Towle and great-grandchildren Madeline Perry and Aiden Goettsch.  She was predeceased by Asa in 2007 and a daughter Dianna Towle.

Visiting hours will be held Monday evening January 25

from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Christian Church, Jefferson, NH.  Reverend Dean A. Stiles, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the spring in Forest Vale Cemetery, Jefferson.
