LANCASTER - Doris M. Johnson, 78, of Paige Hill mobile home park, died Saturday evening July 26, 2014 at Country Village.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Newport, VT on May 3, 1936 the daughter of Cleon and Alice (Prevost) Wells.
She attended the local schools in Newport where she lived until moving to Lancaster later on into her adult years.
Doris worked as a chamber maid at the Mount Washington Hotel until her retirement. After her retirement her main focus in life was her children and grandchildren. Family and friends say that she had a smile that could light a room.
Surviving family members include her son Clement H. Johnson Jr. of Groveton; 4 daughters, Heidi Johnson and husband Jeffrey of Lancaster; Tammy Keller of Lancaster; Lisa Brown of Lancaster; Debbie Johnson of Groveton; 13 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a special friend Cathy Bishop of Lancaster.
At the request of the family there are no visiting hours. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family with a private graveside service.
The family has requested donations be made to Bailey Funeral Home 210 Main Street Lancaster, NH 03584 to help defray funeral expenses.
