JEFFERSON- Dorothy Louise Hicks, 91, died Sunday July 16, 2006 at Coos County Nursing Home, West Stewartstown.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on May 8, 1915, the daughter of Paul Louis and Pansy Jennette (Bradley) Quimby.
Dorothy was raised in Haverhill, and attended school there. She also attended the University of Massachusetts, and worked for New England Telephone Company for 38 years as a field clerk. She moved to the North Country in 1987.
She was a member of the Newton Junction Baptist Church, Newton Junction, MA.
Family members include 3 nephews, many cousins, and family friends, Kenneth and Barbara Dobson of Jefferson. She was predeceased by her, husband Willard Kendrick Hicks.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 19, from 2-4 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Burial will be on Thursday in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
