ST. JOHNSBURY - Dorothy Evelyn Jameson, 87, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab, after a period of declining health. She has resided for there the past year.

Dorothy was born Sept. 9, 1929, to parents Ellery and Juanita (Corliss) Adair in Concord, Vt. Her family moved to Columbia, N.H., when she was a girl where she remained until she left Colebrook Academy and married Pardon Jameson. She became a military wife until she brought her family back to live in Canaan, Vt.

Dot is survived by her son Wade and wife Donna Lee of Bloomfield, Vt., son Mark and wife Patricia of Allentown, Pa., son Lyle of Wisconsin, daughter Judy Begin of Chicopee, Mass., son Pardon Jameson of Berlin, N.H., son Robert of Colebrook, N.H.; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers William and wife Edwina of Columbia, N.H., Kenneth and wife Charlene of Groveton, N.H., and sister Myra McCormick of North Stratford, N.H., and very special friend Donna Jameson of Stark, N.H.

She is predeceased by longtime companion Robert Fraser and sisters Alice Fletcher, Eva Adair, Marion Stanton and Lois Adair.

Most recently Dot moved to St. Johnsbury where she resided with her niece Nancy Daniels and her husband Wayne.

Dorothy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzles, hummingbirds, socializing and attending the Riverside Enrichment Program in Lyndonville, Vt.

At her request there will be no public service. A celebration of her life will be held by her family at a later date. Arrangements made by Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverside Enrichment Program in Lyndonville, St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab or the American Heart Association of Vermont.
