Dorothy Marie (Phillips) Cantin

GUILDHALL - Dorothy Marie (Phillips) Cantin , 91, went to be with her Lord on February 16, 2013. She died peacefully at home in the presence of her family.
Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, Dorothy was the daughter of Joseph J. and Ottilia (Hoffmann) Phillips.
Dorothy was a member of the Sutton Baptist Church. She loved music and playing her violin, and attended the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Dorothy was the secretary for H J Cantin and Sons for over fifty years and was a member of Business and Professional Women. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed biking, hiking, gardening and swimming. She also loved her home and spending time with her grandchildren.
Family members include her husband Harland J. Cantin of Guildhall; her children, Richard Joseph and his wife Brenda in Sarasota, FL, Marie Elizabeth and her husband John in Bulls Gap, TN, Barbara Lou and her husband Tim in Ometepec, Mexico, David Harland and his wife Sarah in Lancaster, NH, Deborah Dorothy and her husband Jim in West Glacier, MT, Philip Theodore and his wife Lori in Guildhall, VT;
22 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday afternoon, February 21, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A service will follow immediately after at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. David Colwell will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.
