WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA- Douglas Caron, 57, of W. Springfield, MA, twin brother of Donald Caron of Monroe, NH. Passed away suddenly Sunday morning February 24, 2008, at Baystate Medical Center.

Mr. Caron was born in Lancaster, NH on May 19, 1950, a son of Ralph W. and Virginia E. (Cantin) Caron.

Douglas worked for several years in the Connecticut area as a Tool and Dye Machinist. He was a veteran of the U.S Army 82

nd

Airborne. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcyclist. He was vice president of Pioneer Valley Sportsmen Club in W. Springfield and also a member of Military Vehicles Preservation Association and enjoyed restoring antique cars.

Family members include his brother Donald and his wife Marla of Monroe, NH, a sister Janet Seymour and her husband Art of Springfield, MA, a brother George Caron and his companion Kathy Meckes of Tannersvile, PA and sister Luanne of Agawam, MA and his financee Peggy Hilton and her daughter Allison Hilton of W. Springfield, MA.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster, NH A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:00, at All Saints Church, Lancaster, NH Father Robert G. Levesque, OMI will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery.
