LANCASTER - E. Ann Dow, 87,died Tuesday evening December 15, 2015 at Country Village Genesis Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Dow was born in Berlin, NH on January 24, 1928 the daughter of Austin and Wilma (Eastman) Buckley.
For many years she was a bookkeeper at New England Pine Sales in Londonderry and Allen Rogers Wood Turning in Laconia. Ann enjoyed camping, gardening, all types of crafts, especially quilt making, and was a very avid reader using the local libraries weekly. She was a member of the Twin Mountain Baptist Church. She was also an active member and volunteer at the Gilman Senior Center, Gilman, VT and the Jefferson Jacks.
Surviving family members include her children, Sandra Hadley of Navarre, FL, Donald Dow of Belmont, Deborah Derrick of Meredith, Betty Dow of Lunenburg, VT and Groveton, NH, Glendon Dow of Whitefield; a sister-in-law Jeanette Buckley; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her husband of 62 years, Walter R. Dow, predeceased her in 2008.
There are no visiting hours. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning, December 19 at 10:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. Reverend Fred Laughman, pastor of the Twin Mountain Baptist Church will officiate. A reception will follow in the at the Twin Mountain Baptist Church, 555 Route 3 North, Twin Mountain, NH. Burial will be held at a later date in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith Center, NH.
