DALTON - Earline J. Walter, 97, of Dalton Road, died Monday evening September 8, 2014 at Country Village Geneis Eldercare Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Walter was born in Dalton on February 6, 1917 the daughter of Maurice W. Pilotte and Mary E. (Boswell) Pilotte*. Raised in Dalton she was a graduate of Dalton School and in 1938 she married Maurice Walter from Vermont. For many years she was employed at the Gilman Paper Mill and worked at various shoe shops in Littleton.
Earline loved her home especially tending her vegetable and flower gardens. Through the years she enjoyed hunting and fishing with Maurice and was a cat lover.
Family members include 3 nieces and a nephew, Ann Pelotte of Guildhall, Linda Henry of Dalton, Maurice Pelotte of Littleton and Penny Pelotte of Lisbon. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice; a sister Leona Covey; a brother Clifford Pelotte and a nephew Kenneth Pelotte.
At Earline's request there are no visiting hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
