Edgar R. 'Bud' Perry

JEFFERSON - Edgar R. "Bud" Perry, 83, of Israels River Road, died Sunday morning September 29, 2013 at the St. Vincent DePaul Nursing Home in Berlin.

Mr. Perry was born in Jefferson, NH on October 11, 1929 the son of Edgar R. and Margaret (Brown) Perry.

In his early years Bud was a caretaker at the Waumbek Hotel in Jefferson.

Most of his life he worked as a part manager. Initially he was employed at Beecher Equipment in Lancaster.

In 1969 he moved with his family to White River Junction and for 20 years was employed at Kelton Motors.

Returning to Jefferson he then worked as parts manager at the Gilman Paper Company, Gilman, VT.

In the 60's Bud was a Scout Master in Lancaster and he was a 65 year member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Bud had a rare blood type and has donated gallons of his blood through the years.

He also donated his platelets to help cancer patients.

Surviving family members include his wife of 64 years Doris (Cote) Perry of Jefferson; his children and their spouses, Kim Perry and Margaret of Jefferson, Robin Perry of Keene, Tamie Gurrin of Littleton, Cheryl French and Kevin of Quechee, VT, Theo Parker and Dan of Greenville, NC; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother Jim Perry and his wife Barbara of Lebanon.

He was predeceased by 3 sisters and one grandchild Edgar Eddie Perry.

Bud will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
