WHITEFIELD- Edna B. Kiser, 92, formerly of Lancaster, died Thursday, January 10, 2008, at the Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield, where she had been a resident for the past five years.
Mrs. Kiser was born in Lancaster on February 3, 1915, a daughter of Frank and Wilma (Goodall) Whitney.
Edna was a long time resident of Lancaster. She was a homemaker, staying home to raise her children. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and taking care of her grandchildren.
Family members include two daughters, Beverly Morin of Lancaster and Mary Kenison and her husband James of Jefferson; a sister Amy Wade of Clewiston, FL and a brother Roland Whitney of Hermitage, PA; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by, her husband Milton W. Kiser, a daughter Marion Reynolds, three brothers and a sister.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday evening, January 13, from 7-9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:30 AM. Reverend Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster, will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.
