WINCHESTER - Edward William MacKillop Jr., 63 passed away peacefully April 26th, 2024 at his home beside his loving partner Connie after a battle with cancer. Ed was born on May 23rd, 1960 in Lancaster, NH. He was the son of Edward W. MacKillop Sr. and Linda (Hinkley) MacKillop. Ed graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1978.
Ed held many jobs over the years such as starting his own concrete business in Florida before moving north and falling in love with carpentry. He was very talented and proud of his work. One of his favorite jobs was working on a fishing boat in Alaska. As of late, Ed worked alongside his boss and dear friend Johnny Kadlik of Fitzwilliam swinging hammers together. Ed enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing, gambling and spending time with others. Wherever Ed went he always knew someone or could make new friends. He valued people rather than things.
Surviving family members include his partner Connie Moran Merrifield of Winchester; daughter Maci MacKillop of Whitefield; sister Teresa (MacKillop) Porter of Florida (Doug). Niece and nephew Emily and Joshua Porter of Florida. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins whom he enjoyed creating lasting memories with. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Kenny MacKillop, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Ed’s birthday Thursday, May 23rd, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bailey’s Funeral Home in Lancaster. Light refreshments and a toast will follow calling hours at John W Weeks VFW Post 3041.
