Groveton, NH- Ellen Mae McLaughlin, 76, of Groveton, NH passed away on Monday June 11, 2012.
She was born on March 4, 1936 in Concord, VT a daughter of Terrance McKearney and Mamie Perkins She was married to Norman McLaughlin Jr.
Ellen worked at Hickory Knob State Park in South Carolina and the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. She was a member of John W. Weeks VFW Post 3041 Lancaster, NH Ladies Auxiliary. She especially liked to work with the Auxiliary's Toys for Tots Program each year. She loved to cook, decorate cakes, arts and crafts, crossword puzzles and being with family. Mt. Tug was a special visiting spot for her.
Ellen is survived by her five children: Michael A. McLaughlin of Coldwater, MS and his wife Tonia, Patrick T. McLaughlin of Groveton, NH William N. McLaughlin of South Paris, ME and his wife Diana, Darrell J. McLaughlin of Lancaster, NH and Katrina Z. McLaughlin of Yukon, OK. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, June 21 at 1 PM at the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish, St Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, NH.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Toys for Tots c/o Rosalie Leonard P.O. box 147 Lancaster, NH 03584.
