LUNENBURG, VT- Ellen M. Sargent, 52, of Wentworth Road, died Friday morning, January 15, 2010, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Ms. Sargent was born on May 16, 1957 in Haverhill, NH a daughter of Henry and Priscilla (Pike) Sargent.
Ellen was a lifetime resident of Lunenburg. She had a true passion for all animals and was known for taking in and rescuing all that she could. She truly loved her family and valued the time she spent time with them.
Family members include her companion of 34 years Kenneth Sayles of Lunenburg, two brothers David Sargent of St. Johnsbury, VT, Warren Sargent of Lunenburg, two sisters, Flora Sigouin of Lunenburg and Cathy Sleeper of N. Anson, ME, a foster brother Richard LaPage of Lunenburg, her best friend Tina Rexford of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. Her parents and a brother George Sargent predeceased her.
Visiting hours will be held Monday evening January 18, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM at the funeral home. Reverend James Michaels, pastor at Lancaster Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will held in the spring in the Riverside Cemetery, Lunenburg.
