GUILDHALL, VT- Elwin "John" Brown, 76, died Friday evening, August 4, 2006, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Brown was born in Berlin, on November 12, 1929, the son of Elwin and Lyndall (Call) Brown.
John resided in Lancaster and Guildhall most of his life. He was employed as a truck driver for Perras Lumber Company for the past 32 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during Korea, and was a member of the John W. Weeks VFW Post # 3041, Lancaster.
Family members include his wife Dorothy (Baird) Brown of Guildhall; a son Kevin Brown of Sheffield, VT; two stepdaughters, Tina Ramsdell of Bethlehem, Patricia Senter and her husband Douglas of Ryegate, VT; grandchildren Katelynn and Randy Senter; two brothers; Clarence Brown of Whitefield, William Brown of Lancaster; a sister Edith Chessman of Lancaster.
There are no visiting hours. A celebration of John's life will be held on Wednesday, August 9, at 2:00 PM, at the Perras Treasures Hall in Northumberland.
