LUNENBURG, VT- Emma R. Drown, 85, passed away Tuesday morning December 21, 2010, at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield.
Mrs. Drown Was born in Lyndonville, VT on September 15, 1925, a daughter of Andrew and Rosetta (Beck) Robinson.
Emma was raised in Lyndon and resided there most of her life. She married Harley L. Drown on May 6, 1947. They moved to the Gilman and Lunenburg area in the 1960's. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Kent Nursing Home in Lancaster and as a Central Supply Tech. at the Littleton Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening.
Family members include a son Charles H. Drown and his wife Jennifer of Kentucky, a daughter Elaine D. Horsler and her husband Owen of Lunenburg, three sisters Evelyn Campbell of Passumpsic, VT, Thelma Nutting of Passumpsic, VT and Doris Leach of Wheelock, VT, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and her sister in-law Carol Robinson of Passumpsic, VT. She was predeceased by, her husband Harley in 1992, a son Timothy F. Drown, an infant daughter Christine, two brothers Earl E. Robinson and Clayton Robinson and a sister Leis Sheburn predeceased her.
Calling hours will be held Sunday December 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the spring at the Lyndon Center Cemetery, Lyndon, VT.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in her memory to The Morrison Capital Campaign Fund, 2-6 Terrace Street, Whitefield, NH 03598.
