MEREDITH - Ermine "Gussie" G. McGee, 85, formerly of Twin Mountain, NH, died Saturday morning August 4, 2012, at the Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith.
Gussie was born in Morristown, NJ, on September 3, 1926 the daughter of the late Mario and Theresa (Rizzi) Gusmai and wife of the late Charles E. McGee.
She was a former resident of Twin Mountain and the North Country of New Hampshire. She attended Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH, where she acquired her teaching degree.
Until recently, Gussie had been a longtime resident of Knoxville, TN, and was a founding member of All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville. She established the Friends and Crafts Guild and was a volunteer at Park West Medical Center for 12 years.
Gussie is survived by her loving sons, Charles M., of Moultonboro, NH, Michael E., of Amesbury, MA, Patrick J., Matthew J., of Hooksett, NH, a sister Rena Baker of Vienna, VA; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Mission Church, 65 St. Patrick's Church Road, Twin Mountain, NH. Reverend Matthew J. Mason, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery in Twin Mountain.
The McGee family wishes to thank all of Gussie's friends and neighbors in the Knoxville area for their help and support during this difficult time.
There will be a luncheon for family and friends in the Reagan Room at the Mount Washington Hotel after the cemetery service. Everyone attending is invited.
