Ethelyn V. Burt

LANCASTER - Ethelyn V. Burt, 88, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday evening, May 7, 2010, at Littleton Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Burt was born in Berlin, NH, on February 1, 1922, the daughter of Miaus and Minnie (Oleson) Mortenson.
Raised in Berlin she was a graduate of Berlin High School. She married Lawrence A. Burt of Berlin and they moved to Lynn, MA, where they raised their family and Lawrence was employed with General Electric. For 50 years they resided in Lynn and in 2000 they retired to their summer home in Jefferson, NH. Lawrence predeceased her in 2008 and in recent years Ethelyn had resided with her son in Lancaster and still enjoyed her summer home.
Etheyln was a member of the Lynn Demolay Mothers Club. She enjoyed cooking, reading, knitting, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving family members include five children, Lawrence Burt Jr. of Lynn, MA, Donna Tameo and her husband Robert of Peabody, MA, John Burt of Lancaster, NH, James Burt and his wife Marilyn of Whitefield, NH, Steven Burt of Lancaster, NH; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
