GILMAN - Eudore "Frenchie" J. Pelletier, 87, formally of Riverside Avenue, died Wednesday afternoon September 5, 2007, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, Colebrook.
Mr. Pelletier was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on April 8, 1920, the son of Florient and Catherine (Dumas) Pelletier.
Frenchie, also known to some as "Eddie", was raised in Lewiston, Maine and served in the US Army during WWII. For approximately 40 years he resided of Gilman and worked at the Gilman Paper Mill for 25 years. After leaving Gilman he briefly lived in Bethlehem and Groveton, for the past 3 years he has been a resident of the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown.
Family members include his wife of over 50 years Glenna (Merritt) Pelletier of West Stewartstown; a son David Pelletier of Bethlehem; three daughters, Judy Sterling of Merrimack, NH, Cheri Mire of Lancaster, Kathy Lovell of Columbia; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon and evening, September 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service will held Saturday afternoon, September 15, at 3:00 PM in the Cushman Cemetery, Dalton.
