CONCORD, VT - Everett H. Baker, 94, of Shadow Lake Road, died July 28, 2015 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.
Mr. Baker was lifelong resident of Concord, born there on July 31, 1920 the son of Mica and Mary Baker. For 30 years he was employed with Georgia Pacific at the Gilman Mill. Everett love children and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He and his late wife Reda hardly missed a sporting event participated by their grandchildren. He also loved Bingo and was a regular at the Monday night game at the Gilman Senior Center.
Family members include two sons, Gary Ingalls and wife Mary Lou of Lunenburg, Ray Ingalls and wife Judy of Essex Junction; a daughter Elaine Smith and her husband Marvin of Wheelock; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister Ruth MacDonald of East Concord and her children Sandra, Sonya, Steven and Stanley; a niece Arlene Hovey and her husband Roger; and a nephew Jim Forrest. He was predeceased by his wife Reda (Moulton) Baker; a sister Eleanor Brown; two brother-in-laws Cecil Brown and Howard MacDonald; and a nephew Raymond Brown.
A Celebration of his life will be held at the Concord Community Church on August 8, at 10:00 AM. Reverend John Sleeper will officiate. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery in East St. Johnsbury.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to Meals on Wheels or the Gilman Senior Center.
