Francis Roy Gardner Jr., 66, of Lancaster, New Hampshire passed away on Thursday, June 5th, 2025. Francis was born to Francis Sr. & Claudette (Cantwell) Gardner on May 6th, 1959 in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Known as both “Good Looking” and a real life MacGyver, Francis was a man who loved to create, build and understand challenges. He enjoyed taking things apart and making them better, it is known that he could even make a circle a square. You would never see him shy away from a challenge. God and family had a special place in his heart. It did not matter if you had two legs, four legs or no legs; you were always welcomed when you entered his home. He made his opinions known and is recalled to be quite a loud man. Above all, he will be remembered for his golden heart and hard work ethic.
Preceding Francis in passing are four siblings, Norman Gardner, Denise Gardner, Phillip Gardner, and Dawna Teal. Also predeceasing Francis are his parents and a daughter, Christina Gardner.
Francis leaves behind his wife, Linda Riley of Lancaster and 7 children, Jason Gardner of Lancaster, Adam Gardner of Methuen, MA, Carrie Picardi of Hampstead, NH, Jennifer Tedder of Tallahassee, FL, Michael Gardner of Tallahassee, FL, Casey Ellison of Springvale, ME and Nathan Bowman of Salisbury, MA. He is also survived by two siblings, Theresa Gardner of Jefferson, TN and Jeanette Ritchie of Seabrook, NH as well as 5 Grandchildren. a host of many nieces and nephews and his ex wife of 16 years, Mary Gardner(Twomey) whom he had 5 children with, and remained friends until the end. He may be gone but never forgotten and will be missed.
