Frederick G. Currier

October 10, 1935 — October 3, 2015

LANCASTER - Fred G. Currier, 79, of Lost Nation Road passed on October 3, 2015 at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, after a long illness.

Fred was born in Groveton, NH son of John and Jenny (Hill) Currier and has lived on Lost Nation Road and Pleasant Valley Road in Lancaster for all of his life where he was a woodsman and gentleman farmer.  He enjoyed his cats and chickens and was an avid backyard birdwatcher.  His straight-forward philosophy of "gotta cut wood" served him and the community well.  He was generous to his neighbors and lifelong friends who were gratefully generous to him especially in recent months.

He served in the US Air Force between 1957 - 1960 as a parachute specialist stationed in Dover, Delaware and Africa.

He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Sharon (Beale) Currier, his three children; Terri Peyton of New London, David Currier of Lancaster and Larry Currier of Whitefield.  He was very proud of all his grandchildren; Jon Hood of Essex, VT, Doug Hood of Burlington, VT, Caryn Wright of Manchester, NH, Reesha Griffin of Minot, ND, Gina Prosper of Southern CA, Jessie Currier of Littleton, Nicole Currier of Hudson, Travis and Tyler Currier of Whitefield, Jason Currier of Seabrook, and Krystal Currier of Delton, MI, as well as several great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Alfred, Donald, Richard, and his sisters Madeline, Helen, Jean and Hazel.

Memorial visiting hours will be held Tuesday evening October 13

th

from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.  Michael Kooy, pastor of the Faith Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, will officiate.  Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Fred would passionately believe you should instead do a good deed for your neighbor.
