Lancaster, NH- Gabriel J. Begin, 64, passed away on Monday May 21, 2012 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont. He was born on February 25, 1948 in East Concord, VT a son to the late Joseph Edward and Marguerite (Marcotte) Begin.
Mr. Begin served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He was a painter for most of his life working for various companies. Mr. Begin enjoyed woodworking, helping others; he loved to fish and Texas Hold'Um. He was a very giving person, who loved his family very much showing it in his own way. Mr. Begin was a lifetime member of the VFW and DAV.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kubic) Begin of Lancaster, three step-sons Jeff Velie and his wife Jennifer of Littleton, CO, Jim Velie and his wife Kimberly of Londonderry, Joe Velie and his wife Jodie of Manchester, two brothers Donald begin and his wife Shirley of Lancaster, Jules begin and his companion Sandra Hall of St. Johnsbury, a sister Pauline Strickland of Plymouth, 10 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his parents and a brother Roland Begin.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Monday July 9, at 4 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster with the Reverend John MacKenzie officiating.
