WHITEFIELD - George Coburn, 80, died suddenly Sunday morning April 9, 2012, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Coburn was born in Cambridge, MA, on November 29, 1933, the son of George and Ruby (Allen) Coburn.
For many years he was a security guard at the Kennedy Building in Boston, MA. He served in the US Army, loved German shepherds and roller pigeons.
George is survived by a brother, Ronald Coburn of Nottingham, NH, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Monday evening, April 16, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM in Park Street Cemetery, Whitefield. Rev. Jay Dexter will officiate.
