LUNENBURG – Gerald A. Dupont Jr., 76. Of Baptist Hill Road, died Wednesday evening, August 9, 2023, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Dupont was born in Lunenburg on February 25, 1947, the son of Gerald A. Dupont Sr. and Doris (Couture) Hodgdon.
Gerald was a lifetime resident of the Lancaster and Lunenburg area. He worked most of his life for the highway departments in both towns. For many years he plowed, sanded, and maintained many of the local roads.
Gerald loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and a good hike in the woods. He was especially good at bird hunting, usually bringing home his daily limit. Gerald had a great love for his family and always enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his sister, Rita Dupont of Lunenburg.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
