JEFFERSON - Gladys L. Ingerson, 90, of Shalom Drive, died Friday evening, June 8th, 2018, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center, Lancaster. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Ingerson was born in Lancaster on April 20, 1928, the daughter of Irving and Lilla (Masters) Boudle. She was raised in Lancaster and was a graduate of Lancaster Academy before moving to Jefferson with her husband, Carroll E. Ingerson, in her early 20's.
For 16 years Gladys worked as a waitress for the Waumbek Hotel in Jefferson. For many years she was the organist of the Assembly of God Church. She loved to cook, can and knit. She also loved her grandchildren and took a strong interest in their lives.
Surviving family members include her son Lloyd C. Ingerson of Jefferson; her daughter Brenda Manuel of Jefferson; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister Beverly Wright of North Stratford; and many nieces and nephews. Carroll predeceased her in 2014. She was also predeceased by siblings, Henry, Cleo, Howard, Leonard, Carlie and Celia Boudle.
A graveside service will be held Friday afternoon, June 15th, at 2:00 PM in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Reverend Susan Blodgett of Maine will officiate.
