Glenda Smith

LANCASTER - Glenda Smith, 65, of Williams Street, died suddenly at her home on June 6, 2021.

Glenda was born in Lancaster on July 24, 1955, the daughter of Ned and Phyllis (Sheridan) Smith. She was a lifetime resident of Lancaster and graduate of White Mountain Regional High School.

For over 30 years Glenda has worked in healthcare. For a time, she was an LNA at Genesis Healthcare, Lancaster, and for many years an LNA and restorative aid at Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield. In her spare time, she enjoyed hiking, visiting her old stomping grounds in Jefferson, and mingling with family and friends.

Surviving family members include her three children, Desiree McGuire of Lancaster, Ryan Prosper of Camp Pendleton, CA, Brandi Thompson of Lancaster; seven grandchildren Davalyn, Dylan, Kennady, Lilli, Bryce, Quinn, Kynzleigh; her brothers and sisters, Roberta McGee, Michael Smith, David Smith, Raymond Smith, Bruce Smith, Alan Smith, Diane Dupont; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Peter Fuller, Richard Smith, Sharon Dupont, Brian Smith and Larry Smith.

Memorial visiting hours will be held Thursday evening, June 10th, from 5:00-8:00PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A celebration of life will be held Friday afternoon, June 11th, at 4:00PM at the John W. Weeks VFW Post in Lancaster. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Forest Vale Cemetery, Jefferson.
