LUNENBURG - A celebration of the life of Harold J. Kenney Jr., 78, who died October 28, 2012 will be held Saturday May 25 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM in the parish hall of Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster.
LUNENBURG - Harold J. Kenney Jr., 78, died peacefully with is family at his side on Sunday October 28, 2012 at Weeks Medical Center.
Mr. Kenney was born in Lancaster on September 1, 1934 the son of Harold J. Kenney Sr. and Edna M. (Monahan) Kenney.
Harold was raised in North Stratford and Bloomfield and was a graduate of Stratford High School. He went on to serve in the US Navy and later the US Army. He held many occupations during his life and had a love for farming. For a time he worked for the Brown Company but he is best known for the 31 years he worked as a Vermont State Trooper retiring in 1988.
Family members include his wife of 41 years Patricia (Covell) Kenney of Lunenburg; two daughters, Heather A. Colby of Lunenburg, Heidi A. Marquis of Canaan, VT; four grandchildren, Charles, Eric, Albert Joseph, Katie; one great granddaughter Dazie Rae; a nephew John; a niece Kathy and a great nephew Nicholas. He was predeceased by his parents and a his sister Mary Rich.
At Harold's request there are no visiting hours and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Weeks Medical Center, 173 Middle Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
