Helen Patricia Boswell

GUILDHALL, VT- Helen Patricia Boswell, 89, of Guildhall, passed away peacefully May 24, 2011, at Country Village Nursing Home, Lancaster.
She was born on September 3, 1921 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Willard and Estella (Fearon) Hubbard.
As a young child, she moved with her family to Guildhall. Helen graduated from Groveton High School in 1939 and Keene Teachers College. In 1943 she married John A. Boswell. She taught school for many years in Guildhall and Groveton. After retiring, she was a dedicated volunteer at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster.
Helen and her husband were avid skiers. She also loved music, knitting, sewing, gardening and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her three sons, John "Jay" Boswell and wife Rachel of Berlin, James and wife Janice of Nashua and Kevin and wife Cheryl of Rumney, as well as 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a sister Elizabeth Odell of Country Village Nursing Home in Lancaster. Helen was predeceased by, her husband John, who passed away in 1995 and a granddaughter, Sarah Boswell.
At Helen's request, she will be cremated and there will be no funeral services. A private graveside service will be at the Ridgwell Cemetery in Guildhall at a date to be determined by the family.
