LANCASTER - Helen L. Elliott, 77, of Railroad Street, died Tuesday morning July 30, 2013 at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Elliot was born in Gilman, VT on April 7, 1936 the daughter of Ralph and Irene (Beaulieu) Donnelly.
Raised in Dalton and Lancaster she was a 1954 graduate of Lancaster High School.
She schooled at the NH State Hospital and the Androscoggin Valley Hospital and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse.
During her career she worked at Weeks Medical Center, various local nursing homes and for many years was employed at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, Colebrook, retiring there.
Helen enjoyed crafts, cross stitching, knitting and crocheting.
She was an active board member and volunteer of the Community Cupboard Food Pantry in Lancaster.
She was a Communicant of All Saints Church in Lancaster where she was also a member of the Tabernacle Society.
Family members include her son Gary Elliott and his wife Lea of Northumberland; two sisters, Agnes Donnelly of Lancaster, Mary Jane Boner of Sandston, VA; grandchildren Wendy Bennett and husband Jay of Stark, Glenn Lurvey Jr of Stark; great-grandchildren, Katherine Armstrong, Pvt John Armstrong, William Armstrong, Christopher Barnett, Jordyn Lurvey, Daegan Lurvey and one great-great grandson, Cole Albert due in December.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Stanley Elliott; a brother Robert Donnelly and a baby sister Elizabeth Donnelly.
There are no visiting hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning August 2, at 11:00 AM at All Saints Church in Lancaster.
Reverend Matthew Mason, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.
