WHITEFIELD, NH - Helen M. George, 90, formerly of Buffalo, NY, died Tuesday morning September 21, 2010, at The Morrison in Whitefield, NH.
Mrs. George was born in Kingston, Ontario, on June 6, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Lydia (Creamer) Tunbridge.
Helen was raised in Ontario and moved to Buffalo after she married her late husband Donald M. George. For many years she resided in the Buffalo area where her life revolved around her family and her church, the Kenmore Presbyterian Church, Kenmore, NY. She also enjoyed quilting and baking and was an avid gardener. For the past year and a half she has resided in the Groveton, NH, area and during that time attended the Faith Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, NH.
Family members include four children, Victoria George and her husband Steve Stoller of Berkley, CA, David George and his wife Patricia of Kenmore, NY, Mary Beth Kenison and her husband Toby of Groveton, NH, Thomas George and his wife Maureen of West Seneca, NY; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Her final resting place will be in the Elmlawn Cemetery, Kenmore, NY.
