WHITEFIELD- Helen Harris Putnam, 95, formerly of Union Street, died Friday March 28, 2008, at Sartwell Place, Whitefield.
Mrs. Putnam was born in Whitefield on December 22, 1912, a daughter of William A. and Lydia A. (Priest) Harris.
Helen was a graduate of Whitefield High School, She moved to Connecticut in 1944 and returned to Whitefield in the 1970's.
She was a member of the Whitefield Historical Society and the Community Baptist Church, Whitefield.
Family members include a brother, Lauren M. Harris; one sister, Roxana H. Peck both of Whitefield and nieces and nephews. Her husband Raymond H. Putnam Jr., brothers Winston Harris, George Harris and William Harris Jr., two sisters Mabel Harris and Ruth Harris, predeceased her.
At Helen's request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Kimball Hill Cemetery.
