Henry J. Boudle

WEST BURKE, VT- Henry J. Boudle, 84, of Brook Road, died at his home on Monday morning, September 1, 2008.
Mr. Boudle was born on September 25, 1923, in Stratford, NH, the son of Irving and Lilla (Masters) Boudle.
He was raised in Lancaster and served with the US Army during WWII. Henry worked all his life as an auto body repairman and during that time he crisscrossed the United States five times working and living in many states. He retired in 1980 and returned to Lancaster for a few years before moving to West Burke where he has resided for the past 21 years. He always enjoyed traveling and collecting various types of rock.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Family members include three daughters Gloria Briggs and her husband Carl of Stratford, Doloris Ferrin of Palmdale, CA, Barbara Day of West Burke, VT; two sisters, Gladys Ingerson and her husband Carroll of Jefferson, Beverly Wright and husband Stanley of North Stratford; his longtime friend Mary Anthony and eleven grandchildren.
A visiting hour will be held Sunday afternoon September 7, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, immediately after the visiting hour. Burial with military honors will follow in Summer Street Cemetery.
