JEFFERSON, NH- Henry "Chip" Wares Bryce Jr., 59, died Thursday afternoon, April 29, 2010, at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Bryce was born on September 30, 1950, in Wheeling, W. Virginia, a son of Henry Wares Bryce and Eileen (McManamon) Bryce.
Henry graduated from De Veaux High School in Niagara Falls, NY he went on to attend Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL where he earned a Bachelors degree. He moved to Chatham, MA he was employed by Weston and Sampson in Peabody, MA where he was the Chief water operator. In December 2009, he and his family moved to Jefferson.
Chip enjoyed the ocean, taking in unwanted animals and playing his acoustic guitar. He loved his family and especially his son Marco for whom he was very proud of.
He was also a proud 30-year member of AA and PAUSE in Orleans, MA and was always the first to welcome people.
Family members include, his mother Eileen Bryce of Fort Myers, FL, his wife Martje Bryce of Jefferson, NH, his son Marco Thomas Bryce of Jefferson, NH, a brother James Bryce of Chatham, MA, 3 sisters Rosemary Schintzius of Buffalo, Virginia Bryce of Skaneateles, and Janet Miller of Buffalo. His father Henry Wares Bryce Sr. and a brother Thomas Bryce predeceased him.
At Henry's request there are no visiting hours. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
