Henryetta (Connary) Kay, 94, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the Country Village Nursing Home. She was born in Stratford Hallow, NH on July 6, 1913 to Harland and Hattie (Stone) Connary. She graduated from Lancaster Academy in 1931. She also is a graduate of North Hampton Business School, North Hampton, MA.
In high school she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Lancastrian bi-monthly publication.
She also worked summers for the Weeks family at their Mt. Prospect mansion and at Martin Meadow Pond. She was employed by the Lancaster Court House and the Coos Country Democrat. She also worked as an Executive Secretary for the Division 1 State Highway Department Headquarters in Lancaster. She was the former president of the regional chapter of the Business and Professional Women (BPW).
During retirement she spent her winters in Avon Park, FL. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was active with the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She also was an avid Red Sox fan and faithfully cheered them on, no matter how they did.
Mrs. Kay is predeceased by her daughter Patricia (Kay) Rusboldt. She is survived by her twin sons Richard Kay of Nottingham, NH and Ronald and his wife Ruth Kay of Maynard, MA, son-in-law Edward Rusboldt of La Mesa, CA, grandchildren Tom Rusboldt of La Mesa, CA, Tina Rusboldt of Los Angeles, CA, Abigail Kay of Allston, MA, and Rebecca Kay of Somerville, MA. She was the sister of Harriet Allin of Lancaster and the late Harlene Wilkerson, Merlin, Mervin, and Mason Connary. She also had 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Lancaster, NH on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM. A luncheon will be served in the church's Fellowship Hall following the service. The burial will be private
