GUILDHALL, VT- Herbert H. Hall, 71, of Granby Road, died Saturday morning, June 23, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Hall was born in Northumberland on August 16, 1935 the son of Clifton and Nellie (Merchant) Hall.
Herbert was raised in Groveton and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He resided in Groveton for many years until moving to Guildhall in 2001. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Wausau Paper, retiring after 28 years.
He was a member of John W. Weeks V.F.W Post 3041, Lancaster.
Family members include his wife, Gwendolyn M. (Parker) Hall of Guildhall; four daughters, Tammy Brown of Guildhall, Pammy Hodgdon and her husband Kenny of Granby, Norma Hand and her husband Donald of Groveton, and Karen Hand and her companion Dale Huntoon of Northumberland; one brother Addison Hall of Groveton; three sisters, Barbara Benoit of Groveton, Nellie Meeham of Florida, and Dorothy Cook of Massachusetts, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by, his son in-laws, Richard Hand and Gary Brown, two brothers and three sisters.
At Herbert's request there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday afternoon, June 26, at 1:00 PM in the Northumberland Cemetery.
