LANCASTER - Isabel Amy Norris King, 88, died Monday morning, January 14, 2013 at Country Village Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Isabel was born at home in Lancaster, NH May 10, 1924. The third child of Leonard and Amy (Leighton) Norris.
Over the years Isabel had been employed by Mellin Quincy Chair Factory of Whitefield, Millets & Kraft Bag of the Gilman, VT paper mill, Conners & Hoffman Shoe Factory, Keltronics, Al's Pizza and retired from Hitchiners of Littleton.
Isabel enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and caring for her many house plants. She loved her many pets she had over the years. The last of her life was spent at Country Village which was filled with love and care from all the staff and the many friends she made there.
Isabel is survived by her son Bruce King and wife Norma of Littleton and daughter Sherry Lufkin and husband Danny of Lancaster. She was predeceased by two sons Brian in 1966 and Michael in 1982, her parents, a brother Arthur Norris, a sister Ethel Wright and her ex-husband Ernest King in 2009.
She has 7 grandchildren, Darren & Brian King of Littleton, Laurie Blodgett of Twin Mt., Tammy Dutton of Florida, Bobbi Bingham of MA, Tara Simmons of Georgia and Patrick Hemenway. She also has 16 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Friday evening January 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service will be held at Summer Street Cemetery Saturday at 11:00 AM.
