LITTLETON - Jacqueline L. Benson, 87, of Farr Hill Road Littleton, and formerly of Grange Road, Lancaster, died Monday afternoon August 4, 2014 at Littleton Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Benson was born in Springfield,MA on October 30, 1926 the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle (Dygert) Austin.
Raised in Springfield she was a graduate of the Springfield High School of Commerce. For a time she resided in East Long Meadow, MA before moving to New Hampshire. For 18 years she lived in Lisbon and then relocated to Lancaster in 1991.
Jacqueline enjoyed painting and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Forest Park VFW 7352, Springfield, MA.
Family members include two sons, Clark Benson and his wife Valerie of Lancaster, Larry Benson and his wife Shari of Littleton; a daughter Carla Cooper and her husband Jim of Springfield, MA; 5 grandchildren, Heather Kline, SSGT Todd A. Forward (Ret.), Christopher Benson, Katherine Cullen, Patrick Cullen; and 5 great-grandchildren Nicholas, Harley, Ashley, Emily, Tyler. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph A. Benson in 2004 and a sister Elizabeth Anderson.
There are no visiting hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
