Jacqueline J. Morrissette

May 31, 1935 — June 5, 2018

LANCASTER - Jacqueline J. Frechette Morrissette, age 83, died on June 5, 2018, at
Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, after a short illness.

She was born in Montreal, Canada on May 31, 1935. In December of 1946, her family
moved to Manchester.

Jacqueline married Marcel R. Morrissette on Oct. 10, 1953 in Manchester.
On September 3, 1958, she became an American citizen. On July 4, 1970 they moved up
to Whitefield and lived on Colby Road.

During the early years of her marriage, she worked at home raising her children. Once
they were all in school, in addition to being a wonderful mother, she worked at several
jobs and volunteered, too. She worked as a food service manager for Kent Nursing Home
in Lancaster, she worked at Meals On Wheels in Whitefield, was a diet therapist at
Weeks Medical Center, and was a certified member of the Dietary Manager Association
from 1980 to 1990. In 1991 she volunteered at Day Break Alzheimer's Partnership in
Whitefield.

She considered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be her greatest pleasure and
she particularly enjoyed Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings, especially Christmas
Eve, when many family members would gather around to share meals and tell stories.

She was predeceased by her husband, Marcel in June of2016. They had been married for
almost 63 years.

Mrs. Morrissette is survived by three sons: Alan R. Morrissette and his significant other,
Berlynda Aldrich, of Groveton; Wayne R. Morrissette and his wife Kathleen of Concord,
N.H.; and Lane R. Morrissette and his wife Patty of Whitefield; three daughters: June A.
Brooks and her husband Glenn of Whitefield; Cynthia A. Ferland and her husband,
Albert of Vassalboro, Me.; and Lou-Ann Davis and her significant other David Bolduc of
Palermo, Me. She had nine grandchildren: Jandee McLaughlin, Laurel Ferland, Jonathan
Brooks, Christine Laflamme, Travis Morrissette, David Gooden Jr., Jefferson and
Harrison Davis and Brandon Morrissette. She also had ten great-grandchildren: Desiree,
Mina, and Cara Brooks, Ayden and Kaydence Morrissette, Colton and Leland Gooden,
Dawson Laflamme and Declan and Boone McLaughlin, and several nieces and nephews.
She loved her dog, Dusty, and her cats.

She leaves behind many friends who were an important part of her life at the McKee Inn
where she lived, most recently.

Mrs. Morrissette requested that there be no calling hours or service.
