RUMFORD, MAINE - James R. Legere, 56, of Franklin Street, passed away at his home, early Saturday morning, May 15th, 2021 after a brief illness. His wife Ronda and best canine friend, Fred, were by his side.

Jim was born in Sanford, Maine on January 3, 1965 the son of Ronald and Sandra (Rodrique) Legere. He was a graduate of Sandford High School. For many years he was employed with Pratt & Whitney in Sanford before a 28-year career with Spectrum Cable as a Tech Ops Supervisor. He enjoyed the outdoors and activities such as fishing, four-wheeling, and camping. Jim was a fan of NASCAR racing and was a State of Maine football official for 22 years.

Surviving family members include his wife Ronda Dingman-Legere of Rumford; two sons, Joshua Legere of Springvale, ME, Nicholas Legere of Gorham, ME; two grandchildren, Wesley and Lydia Legere both of Springvale; his parents Ronald and Sandra of Pompano Beach, FL; two brothers, William and Ronald "RJ" Legere both of Kennebunk; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday afternoon, May 28th from 1:00-3:00PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster, NH. A service will follow immediately at the funeral home at 3:00PM. Reverend Daniel Deveau, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Church, Groveton, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in the Northumberland Cemetery.
