LANCASTER - James N. Morin, 75, of Mechanic Street, died January 7, 2006, at Country Village Health Care Center, Lancaster.
James was born in Lancaster, NH, on May 14, 1930, the son of Peter J. and Olivene (Morrisette) Morin.
Mr. Morin was a lifetime resident of Lancaster. During the Korean Conflict he served with the US Army. He was employed at Whitney Motors for a time and later purchased it in 1969, he also sold Moto-Ski and Artic Cat snowmobiles until his retirement in 1980. After his retirement he worked various jobs in the summer and wintered in Paisley, Florida for 19 years.
He was a member of the John W. Weeks VFW Post # 3041, and the Military Order of Cooties.
Family members include his wife Beverly (Kiser) Morin of Lancaster; a stepson, Gary Savage and his wife Sharon of Lancaster; a stepdaughter Sharon Welch and her husband John of Groveton; two brothers, John A. Morin of Lunenburg, VT and Paul H. Morin of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepson Dennis Savage and three brothers, Peter Morin Jr., Fredrick Morin, and Francis Morin.
There are no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass is planned and will be announced at a later date.
