DANVERS, MA - Jane T. Kennedy, 93, formerly of Lancaster,NH, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA.
Mrs. Kennedy was born in Lancaster, NH on July 22, 1924, the daughter of Franklin and Maxina (Colby) Twitchell. She was a 1942 graduate Lancaster Academy and a 1947 graduate of Simmons College of Nursing. For a time she was a charge nurse at Philadelphia Children's Hospital and for 20 years was Director of the Practical Nursing program at McCann Regional Tech School in North Adams, MA. She retired there and in 1987 returned to Lancaster to reside in the home she was raised in.
Family members include a son Dr. Stephen Kennedy of Elkgrove, CA; two daughters, Ellen Jean Butler of Beverly, MA, Carol Stone of Acton, MA; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John W. Kennedy Jr. in 2016.
There are no visiting hours. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, January 10th, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Lancaster. Reverend Timothy Brooks, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.
