TWIN MOUNTAIN - Jay W. Ouellette, 69, died suddenly at his home on Route 115, Thursday morning, April 29th, 2021.
Mr. Ouellette was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on November 5, 1951 the son of Raymond and Jeannette (Demers) Ouellette. He was raised in the Lawrence area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.
In 1986 he moved to the North Country and started Bumper to Bumper Auto Repair in Twin Mountain. He owned and operated the business for 36 years and worked with his friend Glen Grammo for the duration of those years. In 1992 he married Suzanne (Piper) Drake.
Jay had many interests, and he enjoyed many activities. They included building cars, particularly hot rods, camping in Maine with Suzanne, four wheeling with Deakin, talking with customers, and riding motorcycles. He also had a patent on his own invention.
He was a proud member of the Twin Mountain Baptist Church for over 30 years.
Surviving family include his wife Suzanne of Twin Mountain; his six children Donna Garcia, Jason Shields, Amy Ouellette, Kim Royea, Dawn Welch, Troy Drake; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother Larry Ouellette and a sister Cynthia Ouellette both of Londonderry, NH; and a niece Andrea Ouellette.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon, May 2nd, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, at 1:00 PM, at the Twin Mountain Baptist Church. Reverend Fred Laughman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Straw Cemetery, Twin Mountain.
