DALTON - Jeanette J. Dresser, 72, of Whitefield Road, died Sunday morning December 30, 2012, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
Jeanette was born in Colebrook, NH on August 29, 1940. She was the daughter of Reginald and Gladys (Haynes) Stevens.
For most of her lifetime she was a resident of the North Country and was employed for many years as a stitcher. At one time she was employed at Connors and Hoffmans in Littleton and for many years she worked for Quality Control in St. Johnsbury. She also enjoyed stitching at home and enjoyed crocheting and making dolls. Jeanette loved being outdoors and having cookouts with her family. Spending time with family brought her the greatest enjoyment.
Surviving family members include a daughter Sharon White of Lancaster; two sons, Stephen Farrow of Dalton, Scott Dresser of Summerville, SC; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister Harriet Sheehan of Concord, VT; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Clyde Noyes II.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening January 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:45 PM. Rev. Clifford Vendt, pastor of the Community Baptist Church in Whitefield, will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in Cushman Cemetery, Dalton.
