Jessica Savage

Jessica Frank Savage passed away in the late hours of December 1, 2024 at her home in Gorham, NH due to heart complications. She was born in Lancaster, NH to Frank Savage and Penny (Whitney) Buckalew on June 17, 1987.

Jessica attended Lancaster Elementary School and White Mountains Regional High School. She was one of a kind–always checking in on others, sharing funny videos, laughing, singing in the car to herself or making up silly songs, and doing her best to get a smile out of those around her. Her customers from the Double SS, Mr. Pizza, and the Red Fox were always met with a smile. The students under her care at SAU 20's Gorham Elementary School adored her.

Jessica could be described as fiercely loyal and devoted to family, especially to her only son Carter Blake Kenly, whom she has lovingly cared for over the last nine years. Since his birth in 2015, she has learned to maneuver the streets of Boston, going from hospital to hospital to obtain the complicated care that he requires. Her momma bear love helped her fight for all the needed equipment she worked to secure for him—whether it was a bed, a wheelchair, special swings for the playground, or adaptive learning equipment. The determination, strength, and selflessness she displayed is admired by all who really knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Jessica is survived by her son, Carter Kenly; mother, Penny Buckalew; stepfather, Warren Buckalew; siblings: Tim Savage (Cristol), Brett Savage (Jessica), Kerry Savage (Nick), Joshua Savage (Jenn) and stepbrothers: Dawson, Garrett, and Evan Buckalew; nephews and nieces: Randall Savage, Hunter Savage, Kalie (Savage) Gonyer, Zachary Savage, Matthew Savage, Micki Grootenboer, and Macie Grootenboer; as well as bountiful aunts, uncles, great nieces & great-nephews, cousins, and many friends that were family. Jessica was predeceased by her father, Frank H. Savage in 2021; uncle, Peter Whitney; beloved aunts Lois Swenson & Linda Martin; cousin, Steven Swenson; great-nephew, Seth Savage; and grandparents, Leo & Mabel Savage and Burleigh & Melvina (Clara) Whitney.

Calling hours will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster on Saturday, December 14th from 5pm-8pm, concluding with family prayers at 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Edward Fenn Elementary School, Special Education Department (169 Main Street, Gorham, New Hampshire, 03581)
