Jessie M. Wood, 99 passed away on April 4, 2026 in Lancaster, New Hampshire.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband Russell E Wood in August 1994. She will be buried with her husband at the Cushman Cemetery in Dalton.

They have 5 children, Albert E Wood, Allan R Wood, Jessie D (Wood) Mason, Roger L Wood, and Linda S Wood. She has eight grandchildren Janice A (Wood) DeCoteau, Albert E Wood Jr, Allan E Bryant, Debra J (Bryant) Mitton, Michelle N (Balch) Pottieger, Nicolas M Balch, Taysia A Wood and Trevor R Wood.

She also has many great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that will all miss her deeply. Mom liked to cook and sew, she did hand embroidered designed quilts for every one of her family and the grandchildren as they came along. She loved to make crafts too. She loved to read novels and circle a word puzzles.

In her younger years (the 1960's) she worked at Atlantic Research making detonators for the war effort to make bombs for the military. After moving to New Hampshire she worked at Manchester Knitted Fashions and sewed clothing with the names like Polo, Ralph Lauren, and Military wool sweaters. She worked as the cook at the Whitefield Senior Center for a couple of years and was appreciated so much there.

She even hand laced shoes for a local shoe shop for a short time before retiring.Then she and dad used to enjoy the grandchildren and did some gardening, canning and some fishing for brook trout. Jessie enjoyed going to Florida for the winters for several years.

A Graveside service will be Sunday May 3rd at 2pm at the Cushman Cemetery in Dalton, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the go fund me of "Jessie Mason for Jessie Wood" for the funeral expenses and other expenses pertaining to her heavenly departure.
